23andme, DNA, you are now owned by a CORPORATION!
AI’s influence can’t be overstated in this instant world of transactions. The sad truth is dark, and no one even bothers to take notes on it…rather, most do not. I was out with a friend the other day, and they stated, have you done 23andme. I said, no, I don’t want a private corporation having my DNA. More on the point, I don’t want China owning my DNA. Huh, how does China factor into this? Ah, look it up, they own 23andme. Her response was chilling but expected: why do you care if they have your information, DNA, if you aren’t doing anything wrong. Holly shit, are you kidding me. Why would I not want a private corporation not to have my DNA? Ah, you mean, a ‘for profit’ corporation with military ties to other countries that have adverse interests in the United States. Even if it was just the US, the applications they could invoke to abuse your DNA is something out of the worst horror, sci-fi film ever made… Or yet to be made. Now, look at the AI application in science and technology. PEOPLE REMEMBER AI DOES NOT HAVE SYMPATHY, it does not have DISCERNMENT. It is a biased algorithm that does exactly what it’s programmed to do.
Here is the real threat about the partners of 23/me having access to your DNA. They can analyze it with tools enhanced by artificial intelligence to create an ethnic bioweapon that targets you, your ethnicity, or any host of other groups that have similar genetic markings. And don’t think that they are not experimenting with your DNA right at this moment trying to create a super bioweapon.
On the more exotic/sci-fi side of things: do you realize your DNA, if you have turned it over to these corporations, has already been altered… And you may laugh at what I’m about to say, but check out the links… It may even be, at this moment, combined with a fish, a rat, a monkey, and whatever these fucking lunatic scientists hired by government defense programs can think up to combine it with. But hey, why do you care if they have your information, DNA, if you aren’t doing anything wrong? Right?
How does this have an application to the robot crime blog? They are using artificial intelligence to alter all your DNA and combining it, breaking it down, deleting sequences of it, to ultimately do… who the fuck knows. But you may have a monkey child running around in a lab because you submitted your DNA to a corporation like 23andme.
And I haven’t even told you the most chilling part. Once you give your DNA to these corporations, you don’t own it, they do. They OWN THE SEQUENCE. IT MEANS THEY OWN YOU. God help us all.
